There are various ministries within the Elim Pentecostal Church, Rushey Green and Harlesden branches. Everyone is encouraged to join at least one ministry, where they can use their talents and gifts to be effective for the body of Christ and be a faithful servant.
Below is a list of the ministries available. (Click to expand)
Heaven Bound Drama Group
Welcome, we are Heaven Bound Drama Group. The drama group develop talents and helps members to be more confident in expressing the truth of the gospel through drama. It also helps with public speaking. It is open to all – not just church members. The only condition is that members must be committed Christians.
God has given us all different talents, let us therefore use that which He has given us to praise and glorify Him. Our Lord Jesus commanded us to go out and preach the good news to all mankind – we can use whatever talent we have to minister and win souls for Christ. When we make His service our delight, He will make our needs, His care.
At Heaven Bound, our vision is to use the creative gifts and talents that God has given us in ministration. It is a well-known fact that people recall what they see more than what they hear; we therefore try to express biblical principles and teachings in drama through everyday life.
New members are always welcome – church members can speak to me or Sister Kay. Non-church members wishing to become a member can call the church office and leave their name & contact number. If you are gifted in script writing, why not consider contacting us to discuss and submit a script; your script might be the next tool to draw more souls heaven-bound!
Our meeting times are usually on Sundays from 2:00pm to 3:00pm (Junior Group) and Mondays from 7:00pm to 9:00pm (Adults).
For more information, please contact the church office via the contact page.
Chosen for Greatness!
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” 1 Pet 2:9-10
Ministering the word of God through dancing to this generation, that we will fulfil the mandate God has placed on us, which is to reach the hurting, lost, dying, sick people of this world.
We aim to be faithful servants and vessels of honour for God, and that through obedience we will live everyday of our lives fulfilling our vision.
A CHOSEN PEOPLE (DEUT 7:6)
In Deut 7:6 – God shows or tells his people how out of all the people on the face of the earth, he did not choose anybody else but them to be his treasured possession (Jews) chose as to be his special people.
AS CHOSEN FOR GREATNESS: God knows this ministry because He had already ordained it before the foundations of this world and looking amongst the youth today, He has chosen us to carry out the work for this ministry. We are not here by chance or by our choice (meaning, we saw others dance, we loved it and decided to join). He planted the seed in us and we now water it (with praise and worship through dancing) and see the harvest time come. That is when life changes through the ministration.
A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD (Exodus 19:6)
Here, God tells Moses to let his people know how He sees them, that they to Him are a kingdom of priesthood.
AS CHOSEN FOR GREATNESS: God is telling us or letting us know that He has not just chosen us, as a matter of truth, He has placed us in a high honour. He has laid before us favour, open door in our personal lives as we surrender to him, at our work places, schools , colleges, universities, homes, out with our peers, we will be on a different level from everyone else. We shall be the head and not the tale, above and not beneath, we shall be barrier breakers. We are kingdom builders; God has called us to lead this generation back to him.
A HOLY NATION (Exodus 19:6)
AS CHOSEN FOR GREATNESS: Again, God has set us apart, if we should look back a few year ago and now, we can surely testify that God has chosen us and He has cleanse us from our past, He has called us, He has made us holy just as He is holy. He could have chosen anybody but out of the whole world, He chose our parents who brought us into the world. We found ourselves in the Elim youth, yet his hand- picks us. He knows all that we have done and gone through and will go through but he has elected us anyway to be holy.
A PECULIAR PEOPLE (Deut: 7:6)
Peculiar in Greek (Peripoiesis meaning purchase)
It is wonderful to know that not only can we say we belong to God, He purchased us, we are his possession. We all know how we feel about something we have bought at a very high price. We will not let go of it, we will protect it, how much more our saviour sacrificing His life for you and I, this is the biggest ever purchase and the thought of us being own by God is a cause for us to rejoice. You and I know that He is in the business of spring, summer, autumn and winter cleaning us, which means, we are always shinning inside and outside. This is why people see the uniqueness wherever we are. We are indeed CHOSEN FOR GREATNESS and so are you to do the work that nobody else but you can do. He called you from darkness and has brought you into his marvellous light.
In our bible verse, it talks about declaring the PRAISES OF GOD, some translation says, the virtues (Greek Aretas) that is translated as praises. Now, virtue or praises worthy Christians are to portray before people at all times perfection of wisdom, knowledge, justice, truth, love patience, holiness, goodness, grace, joy, peace, faith, etc. This means, as chosen for greatness, we have been called to demonstrate these attributes at all times not when we meet here or when we minister.
2 Peter 1:3-8 (through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness), studying his word, talking to him and spending time with him.
You are unique and before you were formed in your mother’s womb He knew you and He has destined you for greatness. Do not belittle what you have for it can change lives. Use all the God given talents and gifts to be a blessing to the nations.
Our greeting is: “Chosen” and the response: “For Greatness
If you have a passion to dance and aged 13yrs and over you are more than welcome to join. In addition you are required to belong to one of our branches and full membership of the church is also encouraged.
We meet 2-3 times a month on Saturdays between 11am – 2pm

What is it?
- Praising Him for what He has done; which provides hope for what He is yet to do; and
- Worshiping Him for who He is; Accepting His total deity and authority over your life. Attempting to let Him know in your own unique way how much He is worth to you; that is giving Him “WORTHSHIP”.
What do we believe in?
We believe that God loves us (John 3:16). That He has a plan for our lives (For I know the thoughts that I have for you…). Therefore all things (acceptable/unacceptable) work for our good in the short or long term. Why? Because the devil has no ownership in any area of our lives. So in all things we give thanks and praise (If the Lord be for us, who can be against us?).
This foundational belief means that we always enjoy explosive praise and worship sessions like a group of people with no worries in our lives and the good Lord continues to fill our mouths with testimonies.

PRINCESSES OF DESTINY “Princesses of Destiny – Favour with The King!” This is our shout, this is our call. We as women are called to divine destinies! This is why we shout out: “Princesses of Destiny!” and respond, “Favour with The King!”As women, we are conscious that this is our time and like Esther (Esther 4:14) ‘who knows that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?’Ladies, our assignment is by divine appointment and we have a destiny to fulfil as princesses of destiny.
We have been favoured by the King of kings and have his backing as we further his kingdom. Therefore, with the Psalmist (Psalm 27:13) we will continually say, ‘I AM CONFIDENT OF THIS: I WILL SEE THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING’.The main goal of this ministry is to continually give affirmation to women in that God-created place and to encourage them to release their potential and be all that God created them to be.We seek to remind women that they are valuable and significant in God’s sight regardless of the role they may be playing at any given time in their lives.
As such, the ministry will strive to bring out the God-given beauty of every woman from within. 1 Peter 3:4 states: “Instead it (referring to a woman’s beauty) should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”
Just like an eagle soars to great heights, women will be encouraged to ascend and go with God. Song of Songs 2:10 tells us: “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me” – A beautiful picture symbolising Christ, our lover, beckoning us to follow Him.
Women were created to be examples to each other; ‘Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God’ (Titus 2:3-5).

Our goal is to bring all men in the church together to empower each other to be effective as men in the home, church, work place and wherever we find ourselves.
Our meetings are open to all male members of the congregation from the ages of 13 upwards. Discussions during our meetings are structured to make them lively and interesting to all ages.
We liaise with the youth department in the church to jointly hold seminars and conferences to empower the youth who are the future custodians of the faith. We believe practical and open discussion with our young men so we can understand their views, and we can in turn pass on our life experiences to them so that they will be inspired to achieve higher goals in life.
Topics discussed at our meetings, which takes place between 14:00hrs – 16:30hrs on the second Sunday of each month is practical and interactive, allowing everyone the opportunity to share their experiences and ideas.
Deliberations during our meetings are facilitated by both professionals from within and outside the congregation, and cover a variety of topics such as spiritual stability as Christian men, financial planning & management, and health issues.
We organise special events such as whole day seminars on Saturdays or bank holidays in the course of the year, inviting guest speakers or making use of our own excellent pastoral team.
This year, our annual retreat was held at the magnificent Elim Conference Centre at West Malvern, where we had a wonderful a spiritual upgrade; jogging up the mountain on early Saturday morning was an experience we will cherish for many years to come.
